The local Free Throw Championship Competition sponsored by the St. Mary of Huntley Knights of Columbus Council #11666 will be held at 9:00AM until 11:45AM with awards at noon, Saturday, January 14, 2012, at the Centegra Health Bridge Fitness Center, 10450 Algonquin Road, Huntley, Illinois. All girls and boys ages 10 to14 are invited to participate for free at the local level of competition for the 2012 Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship.
The Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship is sponsored annually, with the winners progressing through local, district, and state competitions. International champions are announced by the Knights of Columbus International Headquarters based on scores from the state-level competitions. All boys and girls 10-14 years old are eligible to participate and will compete in their respective age divisions. Last year, more than 130,000 sharpshooters participated in over 3000 local competitions.
