The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops is asking us to contact the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services by September 30 in opposition to new regulations that would require private health care plans to offer contraceptive services. This would force insurance plans offered by a great many religious organizations, including Catholic colleges and universities as well as hospitals and charitable institutions that serve the general public, to violate their beliefs.
